Introduction to the Project

The BSc (Hons) Digital Media Development course requires the students to develop a major project through the use of in depth research and analysis. The most important thing is to work on a project that I will enjoy which will therefore allow me to produce a product/system/software etc to the best of my ability. Brainstorming ideas is essential as I will be able to see what I am interested in these ideas can then be discussed and narrowed down to a single one. This process will lead to Viva’s where I will present my work progress in terms of research, implementation and production regarding the various areas of design and code. It is vital that as a BSc student my main focus is to develop a clean and fully functional coded project therefore a large section of research will be learning and understanding languages.

Before I begin to brainstorm and perform any form of research I need to be aware of plagiarism:

In order to make sure that I do not plagiarize any form of material it is important that firstly I can acknowledge what is my own work and what belongs to another author. By using other material I need to reference as much information about the source as I can, not only to give credit to the individual but also allow the reader to be able to locate the source itself. I will use this blog to record my progress along with information and sources I have used throughout. Now that I have acknowledge the importance of plagiarism I can begin to brainstorm ideas to then be discussed and finalized in my first tutorial.
